3rd Overall Draft Choice a Shoe-In?

Sorry for the delay posting new material, but I have had a busy time taking care of family business. With that said, I recently had some time to pull up the 3rd Overall NFL Draft Picks taken since the 1970 NFL/AFL Merger. The results are shocking and it seems that the 3rd overall pick has been an "iffy" one to say the least. Out of the 36 years since, only 16 of the 36 have had an average career and above. And my criteria for average has been quite liberal. Before you scroll down the list, remember that I am all for the Browns drafting Joe Thomas if he is on the board. If not, Adrian Peterson should be taken, and lastly Brady Quinn. 1 of those 3 players should be on the board. But with that said, take a look through the list below...seems dismal.
